Oscar Araripe - Painter

With almost a hundred exhibitions, Oscar Araripe continues to renew the art of painting not only through his brush stroke and original colors, spontaneous and unusual, but also the materials he uses - synthetic canvas and tubular structures as frames and supports allowing him permanent showing facilities outdoors for the public at large, and tracing - paper.

The Willow Knows

Kings and sages
In dungeon cages
My queen cries
The phantom rages
And war is begun
All in the pages of chapter one

Warriors ride
Hearts are tried
Wind blows
The jesters hide

Lords ponder
Creatures wander
Clouds roll
With skies of thunder

Cries of rain
The beggar is sane
The willow knows
And weeps in pain

Knights have bled
The moat ran red
And battle is done
As ravens pick the dead

Counsel spake
Peasants take
Lightning strikes
The willows break

Dragons are slain
All is vain
Love is lost
Visions are gained

Crystal ball
Tells the tale tall
Scroll is read
From the castle wall

Wizards confide
The queen’s maidens lied
And the willow knows
How love died

Deborah Batt - Modern Art Painter

Art has been the focus of Deborah's life for as long as she can recall. She has developed a reputation for colourful, structured and adventurous work. Self-taught, she has not been influenced by any school of thought or method, an important factor in her development as an artist, creating a style which is truly innovative and free flowing, a juxtaposition of colour form and shape.
She is of the belief that " painting has to have its on presence, stimulating the viewer to react in a multitude of intangible ways. Paintings are simultaneously graphic and emotive, but above all to be enjoyed".

Jonathan Metz - Illustrator & Photographer

Jonathan Metz's illustrations have appeared in local publications as well as a national medical journal for gynecologic oncology. Previous illustrations have included pamphlets and fliers, landscapes and portraits, advertisements and cartoons.

About the artist:
ever since an early age, i have been facinated by form and perception. in my pursuit to achieve a balance between these two traits , i have honed my skills to become a better artist. like artisans of old, i sought to learn as much as i could in regards to two dimensional artistry. having learned under professional artists of modern day, i found myself also benefitting from as much of the ancient mastery of art as possible.
